What is the Anthropology of Accord?
Anthropology is the biological and cultural study of humanity as human beings, as societies and as a species.
The Anthropology of Accord is an argument that our human nature and species is meant for deep agreement (accord). The agreements that bind humanity together as a species and individuals are grounded in the biology of sexual differences. Many anthropologists see the human species as locked in inevitable conflicts (e.g. Marxism, Feminism, Social Darwinism). We consider each of those theories an "anthropology of discord." Our project here is to make religious, biological, and historical arguments for the human bonds of love and loyalty in concordance with our nature and ultimate purpose as human beings. The male-female couple and the all-male territorial group are two of these fundamental patterns of accord. They are neither sex-neutral nor interchangeable. Our arguments about human nature and our ultimate destiny as a eusocial species are in the essay section called Catholic Sociobiology. Our arguments for nationalism and an international politics of accord are in the essay section on Christian Realism. As part of our working database, we have developed over one hundred Maps on Monday and Book Reviews. Traditional culture shapes communal character and identity by immersing men in experiences imitating and repeating the gestures of a Divine Other or historical events lived by communal ancestors. Throughout the year we enter into the life of the American nation by Keeping Civic Days Holy and observe the rhythm of Christian liturgical life by Keeping Catholic Time. We have three related projects: Understanding the male head of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis; Understanding the male head of the United States, President Donald Trump and Essays on Reforming the Catholic Priesthood as a case study of malformed male agreement. |
